Skin Lampshades

Select a shade style that compliments the lamp or fixture. We like the Bell shape for table lamps that are not too tall. The Coolie looks great on a tall slender floor lamp and the small Square shade is just right for many types of sconces and chandeliers. Here's how to visualize your new skin shade on your lamp. Get a large brown paper bag (like you get at the market) and lay it flat on the table. Take a #2 pencil or a handy crayon, and draw the shade in profile using the dimensions given in the table below. Now cut out the drawing (DO NOT RUN WITH SCISSORS!) and hold the cut-out shade above your fixture. Try several styles and sizes until you find one that's just right. The shades that are highlighted in red are usually in stock.
